Qualify for CEC

Eligibility Criteria

Have 1 year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years.

Meet minimum language levels:

CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs
CLB 5 for NOC B jobs

Intend to live outside Quebec.
Experience must not include self-employment or work done while a full-time student.

Pathway for International Students

Graduate from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution.
Apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Gain 1,560 hours of work experience in a NOC 0, A, or B job.
Meet the language requirement (CLB 7 or 5).
Create an Express Entry profile.

Pathway for Temporary Foreign Workers

Hold a valid Canadian work permit.
Gain 1,560 hours of Canadian work experience.
Take a language test and meet required CLB score.
Create an Express Entry profile.
